During a recent fat loss interview with Joy Behar, TV host Jillian Michaels let it slip that she endorses the principle behind the new cabbage soup diet, volumetrics.
Volumetrics is a revolutionary diet principle that is based on the common sense observation that people who feel full don’t eat as much. Finding the right foods to fill you up without adding additional calories and fat, however, took decades of research. The scientific research behind volumetrics found that weight loss occurs when the first food eaten at a meal is “watery,” but not all water. The best food for losing weight effortlessly is soup, but some soups are better than others.
Since May of 2009 Jillian Michaels has been urging her fans to start their meals with her Italian Beef and Vegetable Soup. This soup has a lot of advantages over soup from a can. It is made with fresh ingredients. It is free of appetite-stimulating MSG. It is inexpensive, and it fills you up with just 350 calories.
The New Cabbage Soup Diet takes Jillian Michaels’ advice one step farther. Cabbage soup packs even more nutrition into even fewer calories, just 30 calories a serving. The New Cabbage Soup reduces appetite but allows you to eat normal portions of all the healthy foods you need to achieve a balanced diet.
Whether you need to lose 30 pounds or 300, the New Cabbage Soup Diet is safest, healthiest, and most effective way to take off weight and keep it off. As Jillian Michaels is sure to agree, soup is good food.
Did the World’s Heaviest Man Really Lose 570 Pounds on The Zone Diet?
The Mexican man named the world’s heaviest human being by the Guinness Book of World Records in 2008 was named to the Man Who Lost the Most Weight category in 2009.
At his heaviest, Mexican national and former Dallas resident Manuel Uribe weighed 1,257 pounds. After he had been confined to a bed in his mother’s house for five years, the television cameras rolled as he gratefully accepted protein supplements offered by the originator of the Zone Diet, Dr. Barry Sears.
The cameras returned two years later to celebrate Uribe’s phenomenal weight loss, a total of 570 pounds. The Zone Diet was hailed as the secret of the success of the still bed-bound Uribe, and the Discovery Channel planned My Big Fat Mexican Wedding when he announced his engagement to his longtime girlfriend Claudia Solis.
But was this 570-pound weight loss really a result of the Zone Diet?
Uribe’s personal blog, which he writes in Spanish, tells a different story.
Uribe does not mention the Zone Diet at all. He says that a botched gastric bypass operation caused hundreds of pounds of lymphatic fluid to accumulate in his legs, and neither a new gastric bypass nor the Zone Diet was really helping. The drastic surgery that was designed to help him feel permanently full was in fact the one thing that was keeping him from finally losing weight.
It is a tragedy that Uribe did not begin his journey to weight loss with a science-based, volumetric weight loss plan like the New Cabbage Soup Diet. With no surgery, no pills, and no need to stop eating small portions of the foods you love, the New Cabbage Soup Diet keeps you full while enabling safe and steady weight loss.
